Cadence Teams Up With Informative Graphics to Provide Free Tool for Schematic Collaboration
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 2001--Cadence Design
Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CDN), the world's leading supplier of electronic
design products and services, and Informative Graphics®, the leading
developer of commercial software products for web publishing and
collaboration, today announced a distribution and technology agreement
to provide a collaboration and visualization tool to the Orcad
Capture® community. The tool, a special full-function version of
Informative Graphics' MYRIAD® redlining collaboration product, is
available for Orcad Capture end-users to download at no cost.
Jointly developed by Informative Graphics and Cadence®, the
MYRIAD Capture Viewer streamlines the design process by enabling
printed circuit board (PCB) designers, design managers, test and
manufacturing engineers, and other end-users to share native schematic
documents without having to have access to the Orcad Capture source
application.
In addition to the redlining feature, the MYRIAD Capture Viewer
includes:
- Side-by-Side Compare
- allows user to see two documents at once
- Changemarks®
- user can systematically review proposed design changes
- when used with the side-by-side feature, user can compare
requested changes with actual changes in a new revision
- Document Stack
- offers reviewer an option to view or print all related
documents in stack
